I had to research to figure out when I purchased the brush shampoo. I purchased it at The Makeup Show LA 2014 Part 2.

Here are the items I purchased that day. I already reviewed NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Villa Lante (middle right), NARS Matte Multiple in Laos (top right), Kevyn Aucoin The Eyelash Curler (top left), and Make Up For Ever Sens'Eyes (top middle). For this post, I will review the brush shampoo in middle left.

Thoughts: I've heard great things about this brush shampoo brand. For that reason, I was curious about this product. To be honest, this is my second soap product that I used to wash my brushes.
Here's a closer look at the soap.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's no noticeable scent while using the product. I just sniffed the product and it has a strong lemon scent. Either I got used to the scent or there is none whatsoever when I use the soap. Anything is possible since I don't remember how I felt when I first used this product. I'm almost to the end. To be honest, I actually like the scent. It's very refreshing. Secondly, I like the packaging. I'm not too sure if other brush soaps come in a container. The first one I used didn't come in a container. I find it more convenient when it comes in a container or initial soap comes in a container. Then you can refill the same container with other soaps from the same brand. That's just my thought. With that said, it's small and light-weight. It also comes with a sturdy top that has a tight seal. For that reason, this is travel-friendly. It'll also be great for makeup artists. Third, it looks and feels like a typical soap. It really is easy to use. Initially, I followed the instruction but with usage I tweaked it as I went. I would put water into the soap container with the soap and swish my brush inside the container enough to get the brush soapy. Then I work the lather with my palm. To finish it, I would rinse it with water and pat dry on a towel. It's that easy. Anyone can do it. With that said, it really does clean the brushes. I can see all the makeup gunk come off the brushes when I rinse it. The first soap I ever used took a lot of effort to clean the brushes. I had to repeat the steps several times until I saw the true color of the brush. This one doesn't take that much effort to clean the brushes. I can see foundation, concealer, eyeshadow both powder and cream, and even dark black gel eyeliner flow down the water when I rinse the brushes. It came out easily and the brush looked new. Not only that, I use it on my beauty sponges. It even cleans that. Lastly and after it dries, the brushes are soft. The soap is gentle on the brushes and it doesn't damage with time. From my experience in the past, some brush cleaners are full of chemicals. It's so rough and with time, the brushes become tough. It doesn't feel soft on the skin anymore and then I never use the brushes again. I didn't have to worry with this soap. I've been using this product for some time and I'm almost done with this soap. Even now the brushes are soft and gentle on my skin!
